Difference between bottle stages? Stage 1,2??

Okay I’m a soon to be mommy and this is my first go around and unfortunately I have no one I can really ask these silly questions to. 
I know the nipple size changes, right? What age would I use the stage 1 &2? And what are the bottles you use? I have some first stage dr brown with the slow flow.

If you’re nursing you don’t have to ever change from stage 1. Your own nipples/breasts don’t change flow as the baby gets older. But your baby does become more efficient at drawing milk from the breast or bottle. The point of the different nipples is because the baby is capable of taking in more. But studies have shown that higher stage nipples actually can increase digestive upset, spit up, etc. 
We have a few different brands of bottles and my son will drink from any of them luckily. But my personal preference are the dr brown glass wide mouth options+

If you're combo feeding the advice is to use the slowest / lowest stage number you can. If the flow is faster than baby can extract from your breast they may develop bottle preference as the milk comes faster. You'll know when ykh need to level up if baby is getting frustrated. I feel different brands have different age range and they are all just a guide. I use Dr brown for my combo fed 7 month old boy, level 3 if 6-9 months but we use a level 2

Just start using the next stage up when you see baby is getting frustrated w how slow the milk is coming out. I use dr. Browns bottles
