Anyone else holding off on baby food?

My little guy's pediatrician gave us the go to start baby food at his 4 month appointment which was on the 1st of this month. He didn't seem too interested when I tried so I left it alone and I am waiting until he's 6 months. Anyone else?

I’m definitely waiting for 6 months. I’ll still be home, I love breastfeeding, and it’s free!

Not touching food till my little one is 6 months- it surprises me that doctors still recommend starting at 4 months (unless there’s health issues) when their digestive systems aren’t mature enough for food! I’m being brave and going straight into blw when lo is 6 months, I breastfeed so I’m happy to wean slowly 🥰

I'm holding off. The doctor said we should start with purees anywhere between 4-6 months. I'm just gonna keep observing my son to see how he's doing with all of the signs of readiness. At the moment he hasn't met any of them (he's 4 months tomorrow). If he meets them all at 5 months I'll probably start then. I'm not letting the age of 6 months guide me, but how developmentally ready my baby is (this includes him not being ready even at 6 months!).

I’m waiting until 6 months and for mine to show interest. So far she hasn’t shown any interest in food. My pediatrician tried to push rice cereal on me and that’s not happening.

I'm waiting til 6 months. My pediatrician recommended waiting till then also as she said those who started to soon shown a higher rate of having sensitivities to gluten.

I started baby food last month because my son wasnt gaining due to his laryngomalacia. ENT gave the ok and he's been doing great with it.
