Should I be concerned? Is there a thing as too much sleep?

My little one is a pretty great sleeper. 10 weeks old today. She usually does a 6-8 hour stretch each night, followed by about 4 hours or so after eating. She's asleep by about 9/9:30, and will be up around 9:30/10 the next morning.

No issues at all with weight gain or growth.

Last night she went down right around 8, and she didn't start to stir until about 6:30 this morning. Trust me getting that much sleep for myself was wonderful because I'm dealing with a cold. I expected her to be up for a while after, but she went back to sleep after eating and has been snoozing ever since!

I'm a first time mom and I'm just really not sure if she's sleeping too much? I almost feel like I'm forcing her to sleep or something. I lay her down when it's bedtime even if her eyes are wide open, and she falls asleep on her own. Is she just actually tired or is she bored or ????

I'm at a loss. I know this isn't the case for a lot of women with newborns, so it feels... unsettling?

And I realize this post may come off as trying to "brag" about having a baby that sleeps well, but I'm honestly concerned she's sleeping too much. 😩

When she's awake during the day she's very alert and engaging and eats great. She takes naps a few times a day. Maybe it's just a growth spurt?
