Does anyone else’s LO stay awake for 4-5hrs at a time??

My girl is 7 weeks old and will stay awake for 4-5hr stretches during the day. No matter what I do she just fights her sleep and wants to be held and interacted with (chatting, laughing, etc). She’s usually happy the whole time, but I just don’t understand. I thought newborns were supposed to sleep more often than not?

My 5 week old is the exact same way at least twice a day he is up for a 3-4 hour period of time. Usually once in the morning and once in the evening🤦‍♀️

My 8 week old has been doing this the past week or so, sometimes staying awake even longer or only napping 15 mins or so in a 5-7 hour period. He usually gets pretty overtired from it but he fights sleep!

My son is 6 weeks and 3-4 days a week he will skip a morning or afternoon nap and be awake for 6 or so hours

Mine is 5weeks old and also stays awake for 4-5 hours during the day. No matter what I do, she wont go to sleep but it’s better that they stay awake that long during the day and not at night
