Looking to keep milk supply and lose weight

What are some good tips/advice or recipes? I drink water but could drink even more than what I do. (I also have a dr.pepper addiction) I already take lactation vitamins plus prenatal. LO is 7 weeks 5 days and at this point I think I eat just to eat, cuz I'm bored. I would like protein packed or any ideas that will help. I'm still not sure how milk supply works besides eating enough of certain types of food like carbs or something?
