Period before patch free week?

I have the Xulane patch. I got on it immediately at 6 weeks postpartum after having my baby and hadn’t had my period yet. I am on my final week of wearing it before I do the patch free week. I have just started my period. Is this normal or do I need to call my doctor?

If it’s been less than 6 months, then it’s completely normal. It can take up to that long for ur body to adjust to being on (or off) birth control, so irregularities are normal during that time. Just keep using the patch properly as directed.
