Exculsively pumping?

Has anyone exculsively pumped? What was the pros and cons? Is it possible to just pump and bottle feed from birth?

Yes possible! I have a friend who’s had a lot of success with it. She didn’t plan to but her baby just wouldn’t latch. You have to mimick their schedule tho and pump like every hour or two til you establish supply

It is possible but it’s exhausting. If you’re set on that I would splurge for a good hands free pump like the willow so not to be so tied down with a newborn.

Yes, I have done with both previous pregnancies. You definitely want a good double pump and a hands free pumping bra. Otherwise just stick to a schedule that your baby is feeding at. I had great success and was able to even build a freezer stock of milk that allowed me to stop pumping 2 months before a year and I had milk stored for baby until 13 months.

I thought about it but the time it takes to clean everything kept me nursing. Also, nursing kept my supply up when I went back to work and had to pump.

It’s possible. Honestly though it’s not for everyone. It’s labor intensive. 
You have to be very committed to it.
I nursed my son and I just hated the pump, I’m hoping it’ll be different this time with a different brand of pump. But it was a lot more work than just nursing to me.

Very possible! I did that for two weeks after birth because i couldn’t get a good latch. Once i got a good latch i still continued to both bottle fed breastmilk and breastfeed directly. It was great for family who wanted to hold the baby when she was hungry. Only con in my opinion is you will have to breast pump constantly throughout the day to keep supply but overall not hard to do!
