I agree with the other post, I wash clothes I buy for myself before I wear them, so yeah I still wash my daughter's new clothes too. Never know if they've been returned and where they came from.

I don’t. I remember when our first baby was born we asked the nurse about washing an outfit we had purchased before the baby wore it and she said the products they use for cleaning/sterilizing the swaddling blankets etc babies use in the hospital are much harsher than what typical department store grade clothing would be exposed to. I am also not really one to worry about germs passed via baby clothing but to each their own!

I still wash my 8 year olds clothes before he wears them🤷‍♀️ (partially because he has sensitive skin, and every time I tried not washing b4 wearing when he was younger he’d get a rash)

Always! Cotton is typically sprayed with the most hazardous pesticides and is known as the dirtiest crop. I wash my clothes before I wear them so I always wash hers as well. Our skin is our largest organ.
