I needed to vent

I'm new to the world of gynecologists, I only started seeing one a few months ago. The gyno had been treating my mom since she was 23, and is now 50, therefore its been years of confidence bulding up over time. I developed endometriosis so I decided to get an IUD inserted, which my health care plan said would ve covered if I delivered a receipt. But, after the insertion, I never recieved a receipt. Naturally I was too uncomfortable after the procedure to bother to ask, so I settled for returning another day. A week passed, and my mom and I went to pick up the receipt when we face the doctor. We both kindly explain how we're there to pick up a receipt so the health care services could give us a refund, when he starts shouting at us, so loudly that he is heard outside in the waiting room. Ultimately, he decides to let us go as patients - merely because we asked for a receipt-, and asks us to leave his office.

Long story short, although I had only seen the doctor twice, I still feel a sense of shame and awkwardness to it. He is a doctor, and my parts are not different to any others he has seen, nonetheless, its still something intimate that I don't understand how he could dismiss and diminish so harshly. Vent over.
