Walking vs Crawling at 16 months
So my son started to take steps on his own at around 15 months. At first it was only like 3-5 steps from the table to a toy or from an object he could hold onto. He’s now 16 months and can take upwards of 20 steps at one time (I’m not considering this fully walking but definitely have seen progress). He’s still a bit shaky though and can’t get into a standing position from the floor so once he falls while walking he just crawls then or will crawl until he finds something to grab and pull himself up again. There’s also times we try and stand him up to walk and he curls his legs up because he doesn’t want to stand and walk. Just wondering if anyone else’s little one is like this at this age too. I’m trying not to hold him as much and trying to make him walk holding my hand to practice but he’s very stubborn at the moment. I’m thinking he’s just lazy right now because he can fully walk if he wanted to, again just wondering if this is normal.
