Anyone had these?

Question

Have you guys had escitalopram before? First time taking it at 5mg.  taking it cause my doctor thinks I might be depressed from birth control pills I've been taking the last 7 years
What has your experience been?

I'm taking citalopram which is a cheaper version. I've been on it 12 days now. The 1st fees days were rough but I've stuck it and I'm feeling alot better and more stable. I've just been diagnosed with prenatal depression and it's definately working for it. I'm taking 10mg a day early in the morning then I try and go back sleep for an he or two to sleep off any of the side effects but like I said I think they have gone now anyway. I'm just still sleeping because I have a terrible cold.

I was taking it as a mood stabilizer, 10mg and the first two weeks I felt physically so sick but mentally I felt the difference right away. It’s not an addictive medication which is nice but you have to take it every day and wean off of it before you stop taking it as it has terrible withdrawal effects. I just stopped taking it this past month for the sake of my husband as I ttc but when the time comes it is something that I would be more than happy to start taking again if I can’t find anything that is as helpful while/if i’m pregnant.
