Boy or Girl?

Lyric • 5 yrs in remission. #boymom

So... Long story short. I opt out of finding out gender during the scan. I take the potty shot home and my husband and I find out together in the comfort of our own home versus at the doctors office.

I told the ultrasound tech right away what my plan was. And she was totally all for it. When the potty shit came she had me close my eyes and I did. I saw nothing. Buuuutt... TWO times during the ultrasound she referred to the baby as girl. The tech said "she" & "herself" while we were watching baby wiggle and suck thumb.

I will be honest. It got my hopes up and I was on cloud 9. I have 2 boys. And this is our third and final baby. The little girl I had prior to my son's was a stillborn at 38 weeks. Needless to say... I have really wanted a daughter. She got my hopes up for rest of appointment, the following doctors appointment, and whole ride home. I got my girl.

Then we open the envelope at home with the potty shot. And it's a boy. And again, I have two boys. I've seen hundreds of ultrasound pictures on here throughout all my pregnancies. It's always two legs and a turtle/Hamburger shot. I got this...

Obviously I see a turtle. I don't know what is it front on it and I don't see the legs very clearly. But WHY. Why call the baby a girl TWO times after seeing the potty shot if it wasn't a girl. I did call the doctors office to just confirm and am waiting on a call back. I just thought I'd ask your ladies opinions. I thought all of it was super odd. I am buying gender announcement stuff today after I get confirmation it's a boy. I'm sure it is. I'm just confused. I'm 19w6d in this.
