Confused as to what's wrong

My son is 2.5 years old and came home yesterday from day care with a fever. At the highest it was 102.3°. I gave him tylenol and his temp went down. He stayed home today since he woke up and had a fever again. He is not showing any other symptoms (no runny or stuffy nose, etc) so I figured it was just from his 2nd molars growing in. He woke up early from his nap today crying. He doesn't communicate very well (he's in speech therapy) so it's a lot of charades and simple sentences. I asked him if he had an owie anywhere and he pointed to his head and leg. I didn't see any bruises or marks so I didn't know if maybe it is growing pains and possibly a headache. He has been more fussy after his nap, but trying to figure out if I need to make a doctor's appointment
