Which infertility center??

Question

Anyone have experience with Boston IVF or Fertility Centers of New England? My doc referred me to both and I would just love to hear some feedback from others who have gone.

I started at New England - got a second opinion at Boston and went back to new england.... new england was closer for me to go for monitoring hours rather than Boston (in Waltham) and Boston’s insurance billing was a nightmare.. New England uses a portal that was easy to use while at work..

I use Boston IVF.  It’s been fine.  It is large and you don’t have much contact with the doctors other than the initial consultations and a few other times to discuss changes to protocols.  Nurses were always on call though and very helpful.  That was fine for me.  I appreciated the Waltham office was open all the time, and had multiple locations, so I never had to worry about timing and you got same day results.   It was helpful because I could go get my bloodwork and ultrasounds before work and didn’t have to take leave every time which may have raised eyebrows at the office.

I had a pretty bad experience at FCNE where Dr. Plante gave me the wrong ovarian reserve test results because there was a transcription error in their system and she didn’t actually look at the lab result itself. Basically, they told me I was a bad candidate for IVF due to extremely low AMH. 8 months later I conceived naturally (sadly it was ectopic) and my ob-gyn retested my ovarian reserve to confirm. Turns out my AMH was totally normal. Called FCNE and at least they admitted they had given me the wrong results and apologized. Still, I would not trust them. If we had gone through with IVF they would have completely messed up my protocols and put me at a super high risk of OHSS based on the wrong readings. My results had been super discordant and a careful doc would have looked at the underlying labs when things didn’t seem to match up. It’s just one experience but thought I’d share!
