Hey all,

I’m almost 9 months postpartum and have yet to get my first period since giving birth.

I breastfed until my son was about 7 months. I’ve heard that breastfeeding moms can get their periods after 6 months even if they’re breastfeeding, but that it for sure would come back at some point once you stop breastfeeding.

Anyone else have this experience? I have emailed my doctor a couple of times about it and she just keeps saying “take a pregnancy test. If it’s negative, you’re fine.”

I believe her. But how long until it’s not fine?
