Has anyone had an IUI done??!!

I am getting an IUI done this month and I just wanted to know what it entails and is it painful and did it work for you??!!!

We did our first IUI on October 4th and I just found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant...we are only about 4 weeks right now so it's still a little scary...
The IUI part didn't hurt me at all..but the nurse said it differs from person to person..some women have tilted uterus which makes it hard for them to go in and get it done..after a couple hours is when I started to cramp up on my left side (where all my eggs were) and I could tell my uterus/cervix area was so sensitive that I would cramp up during sex...but after about a week of my IUI it all went away for a few days and then I could feel the cramping of implantation..about three days later is when I got my BFP... I had my first IUI this month and am currently in a waiting room to get my progesterone drawn and will know one week from today if it worked! It was not painful at all though, just feels like a pelvic exam. It is also extremely quick! The whole procedure was done within 1-2 minutes but then they have you rest with hips elevated for 15 minutes or so. I did femara days 3-7 then Ovidrel on day 13 and had 1 mature follicle. Hubby's sperm counts and motility were great! After the wash they still put in about 50 million with 95% motility! Hoping this is our month! We've been trying for over 1 year now. Baby dust to you! :)

I just met with a fertility specialist Wednesday so we are going to try IUI our next cycle! Thanks for sharing! It's all kind of nerve racking 😁 baby dust!

I did provera to bring on my cycle. Now I will start follistem probably Wednesday. This will be my first iui. I hope it works! Baby dust to all👍

Got pregnant with twins from first IUI w Clomid! Lost one of the twins at 8wks but currently 18w w a healthy baby girl! But we did IUi because earlier sperm tests showed low numbers and they were great on day of IUI! So really wasn't necessary but was kind of nice to have dr time
It all and not have to worry about intercourse at specific times. Less stress! Procedure is quick and painleSs.

I am currently waiting on my appt with the fertility specialist.. I am really nervous.. Can anyone tell me what to expect on my first visit? I have had HSG (dye through my tubes) which I was told my tubes were open, had STD testing as well as my hubby, and he has also had semen analysis done.... Soooo will they need to repeat all these test or can I just bring my results? I know all this will be expensive and I don't feel we should have to repeat some of these test.. Can anyone tell me about your experience ???
