Reading the Bible with my parents makes me uncomfortable
So my dad lately has been making me read the Bible with him and my mom. I feel so uncomfortable though because I’m not close with my parents in that kind of way and I always dodge sharing my personal life with them and my faith is very personal. I feel like I can’t concentrate and I’m anxious during the reading with them. I have no problem reading the Bible with other people like girls my age but with my parents it just feels so awkward. I’m an introvert so I feel I benefit more from reading the Bible when I’m by myself. I never share my personal life with my parents and faith and heavy weight things just feel uncomfortable with my parents. I also read my devotions on an app so it’s drastically different format than what I’m used to.
