How long PP before shaving/waxing?

Hi all, 
I just wondered how long after giving birth and having stitches did you shave / wax your lady areas? Sorry very personal I know, but I’m curious as I’m yet too and don’t know if I should wait till I get an okay from the doctors at 6 weeks PP.

I waited until my 6w check up to shave, wasn’t comfortable until I knew the stitches were gone

just did today. 2 weeks pp tomorrow. i couldnt take it anymore

I shaved the day I can home from the hospital. I avoided the area around the stitches and shaved everywhere else.

I'm not even sure... it must have been at least 4-5 weeks. I just had a couple of stitches inside of me, but I was TERRIFIED of that area after my daughter was born

I shaved at 5 weeks and I just felt around and looked to make sure the stitches were gone. This was before my appt.

I waited until about the Start of week 2. I waited until the swelling went down and was almost back to normal. But I was shaved before labor if that matters any lol

I shaved 5 hours after birth with my last two haha I plan to do so the second I come home this time round again. I can’t even see my vag now at 31 weeks so I’m excited to get in the hedge and cut that shit down

I was cut with baby 1 and tore with baby 2 so two different placements of stitches and I just left it all alone until I was sure sure sure sure the stitches were well and truely gone. If you’ve ever had a shaving mishap or bump down there when not PP you’ll know that you don’t want an ingrown hair in the stitch site! Yikes!

Right before my 6 week appt but I was very careful not to shave all the way down where the stitches were. I trimmed there
