When she reaches the maximum height or weight limit on her rear-facing seat.

Whoa. Babies should read face until they reach 40lbs. That’s an “average” sized 3-4 year old. 
Your baby is 100% safer rear facing, so are you, as a point of fact.

At least two years and then after that whenever she reaches the requirements. The AAP recommends this because children are safest (75% less chance of death or serious injury) when rearfacing.

Canadian law is 2 years old. But they and most cpst recomended  as long as possible to rear face as it is the safest for their fragile bodies in an impact.

Wow where I live, they can go forward facing at 22lbs. I want to keep my baby rear facing but her legs are smooshed against the seat which makes her uncomfortable so she cries. She never used to cry in the car but I’m thinking now it’s because she has no room for her feet/legs. I’ve always switched my other kids when they hit 22lbs but I would like to keep my baby rear facing as long as she can but HOW?!

With my son we did 18 months or a little after 18 months. But with my daughter we will probably wait till 2 or later just because she is smaller than her brother was.

In my state it is 2 years or 30lbs whichever she reaches first. It will likely be 30lbs lol.  But she is tall so she has reached the limit as far as height on her infant seat. We do not own a car so for us this will be tricky. We plan on purchasing the graco slim fit 3 in 1.  However we really only use ride share or mass transit, so we’re unsure when we want to or if we even need to. I can say with confidence that we will most likely purchase next month so that we have it. If we don’t use it oh well, better safe than sorry .

In our van, 2 or later. In our Prius C at 2 because the space is so limited. Do what you have to do but follow the law.
