PCOS??

Question

I have most of the symptoms of PCOS i had a blood test which said I had a hormonal imbalance, the doctor said to do another one just to be sure and it was normal. How did you find out yu had PCOS other than blood tests?

I was told to be diagnosed with PCOS you need at least 2 of the 3 symptoms. High testosterone levels, cysts on your ovaries and irregular periods. You could always ask to get an ultrasound to check if there are any cysts on your ovaries? I had a blood test which showed elevated testosterone and then it was confirmed by an ultrasound that sounds cysts on my ovaries.

I agree that you need 2 out of 3 to support PCOS diagnosis. My first scan wasn’t bad & my bloods were verging on high but weren’t over so couldn’t get a diagnosis with only symptoms. Symptoms then increased & I got more bloods which came back as high so was told that would give me my diagnosis but I went for a scan too which was suggestive of PCOS this time. Hope you get some help with everything x

I was admitted to hospital with suspected appendicitis. They did an MRI and ultrasound. Was discharged after 5 days but was not told my diagnosis. I read my discharge papers and it said I had appearances of pcos. Fast forward to now 3 years later and I went to the doctors to discuss trying for a baby. He then confirmed I had pcos and that I should just have fun trying no other info. Also I like in the UK
