We did it - almost giving up with worked with my PCOS!!
It’s hard to believe, but I’m pregnant!!!!!!!! 🤰
We had been trying for over a year, I knew I had PCOS but took a lot of convincing doctors to run tests to confirm the diagnosis. At the one year mark we got referred to a fertility clinic that sent us for the usual sperm analysis and HSG, and around that time someone rear ended my car while I was driving and I’ve been off with a concussion since. 😓

I was ready to give up, and honestly didn’t keep track of my nasal body temperature, ovulation tests or anything else for that month, all I did was do the HSG test right after my period ended, and took Letrozole 2.5mg (which the specialist had warned me was unlikely to work but they preferred to start low and build up).
I took the pills since I had paid for them, but honestly was really unsure what/if I was going to continue on this journey following this cycle at this point due to the circumstances along with the stress that accompanies this journey.

Starting 9 DPO I assumed I was PMS but just differently due to the meds (as my boobs were reaallly swollen, had some slight nipple changes, cramps in stomach, increased appetite and was emotional) along with a stomach bug (nausea, gagging, warm/sweating even when it’s cold randomly at times.

What I wasn’t realizing is that I was also peeing more often, only nauseous if I went a few hours without eating and that the Letrozole has actually worked!!
I’ve since had 14 positive pregnancy tests including one digital (because it took that many over 3 days to convince me I was even pregnant before I called the doctors’ 😂) and the symptoms have kept up the pace (so I’m already fairly sleep deprived and slightly concerned over the potential for twins.... 😬)

But, having said all that, we are beyond excited over the moon!!! We’ve told a couple close friends and it’s only just making it more real!
I honestly spent many months with either no period at all or with negatives, reading posts that said “don’t give up hope”, however turns out what worked for us was us almost giving up hope!! 😅
Wishing everyone a positive test soon!!!
