How often are you breastfeeding your baby?

My daughter is 2 months old and she is constantly wanting to feed and wakes up 3x at night to feed as well. During the day, if shes not napping shes literally on my boob the majority of the time. She will sit in her swing or lay on her play mat for 20 min max and will cry to be fed again. Is this normal? Its getting exhausting. I cannot do anything for myself with her being this way! Help!

My son is 2 months old also and you just described my life since his birth. Wants boobies all the time. Wakes 3-4 times a night. Hates tummy time. Only likes his swing for a little while at a time. It's stressful but I know its only for a little while. He will be big, and all over the place. I'm trying to enjoy it, I do mostly, but it sure would be nice to have a few to myself sometimes.

Yes mine does this during the day usually about 2 hours but sometimes it’s sooner. At nights we can go 4-6 hours. During the day I think he uses me to nap he will eat for like 10 minutes and fall asleep. I’m trying to rock him to sleep instead of keep giving him the boob. Right now he does power naps less then 30 minutes and he is up again

Our feeding schedule is all over the place. Sometimes she goes 3 hours, sometimes it’s 45 minutes. Each day/week is a little different and I’m trying not to overthink it since it’s an on-demand system. Two things that have helped: Pump when you can (I know it’s hard to fit pumping in with that tight of a feeding schedule). And trust other people to feed your baby from any freezer stash you’re able to accumulate so you can sneak out here and there. Secondly, if you can get comfortable with babywearing in a carrier that you can feed in, try that for chunks of the “bad” days so you can do feedings and even naps while also doing other things.

Same here. I’m only breastfeeding and on demand again. He was gaining weight well and at his one month they suggested trying to get him in a every two hour or more schedule so I wasn’t feeding all the time and he had poor weight gain at his two month appointment. We go for a weight check Thursday. Since the two month appointment I’m back to on demand and he’s already gained at least a pound. He was only 6 lbs 3 oz at birth so I just think he is trying to catch up now. We currently feed about every hour to hour and a half. At night he does about two 2-3 hour stretches and then a 4-5 hour stretch so I think we are doing well there.

Have you tried eat, play, sleep? I do this and it’s helped a lot. It also helps me not to confuse hunger cues with tired cues. 
My son goes 2-3 hours between nursing sessions and usually wakes once maybe twice during the night.

My baby is exclusively formula fed and he eats 8 times a day. 1 hour per session if that helps which is about 3 times during the night

Yesssss. My first I could just wear. But this guy like knows he's near boobs and must be latched on to sleep suckle. That's  all he does all day and all night. Just wanted to agree that it's really hard in a good way

My daughter will be 2 months on Tuesday and she eats about every 1.5-2 hours, sometimes less. She just started sleeping longer stretches at night though. She goes to bed around 1030-1130 and she's wake up between 4-6am to eat, then she'll sleep another 2-3 hours and eat as soon as she wakes up.
