Should I apologize? (Long post)

I just wanted some advice. Last year I started dating a guy who apparently fell head over heels with me when we first met around 2 years ago. We had started dating a little after that time for a little while, but it didn't work out so we both pretty much just stopped talking after we broke up. We remained friends on facebook. One day about 6 months later, I messaged him on Facebook that I missed him sometimes. Things took off from there and we got back together. I was so happy, but it didn't take long before he was doing things that upset me. I live with my dad, and one day my mom decided to turn the whole family against me. I diny know what she said, but my dad was suddenly pissed at me and I didn't want to go home. My (ex) boyfriend let me stay with him for a few days, then made me leave because he had to go to work. I never really understood why he did that. If we hadn't known each other for a while I'd understand, but we had a history. He got mad at my son, who was only 16 months at the time, and started to smack him until he saw I was in the room and watching.

Longer story yet, I became pregnant, miscarried a few weeks later, and he had become completely obsessive with me when I told him I was pregnant and became even more so obsessed after I told him I miscarried. I was overwhelmed and very upset over the miscarriage, among many other things going on in life and stopped replying to him completely. I did a shitty thing and just removed our relationship status on Facebook. We got into a short argument before I blocked his number and on Facebook.

After a while I started to feel bad about what I did, but never unblocked and apologized to him. To this day, 8 months later, I still feel really bad. I don't know. I'm probably stupid and crazy. Is it worth messaging and apologizing now? It kind of eats at me that I did what I did 🤦‍♀️ I just shut down at that time.. unfortunately I do that all the time when very overwhelmed. What do you guys think?
