The pill help

I started birth control around June 2019, and I have been taking the pill on the dot I never forget a day I always take them at 7:00am and no later even at 6:59am never missed a day to take them again. Although I just finish my period yesterday but I always have cramps and my breast are always sore before and after my period and not during my period it always freaks me out, and my cramps are pretty brutal. I asked my mother what’s going on and she always says it’s just my body getting used to the pill and so I always believe her. But I want different opinions from other people. Even though me and my boyfriend are active he always pulls out never in me and I take the pill so I couldn’t be pregnant. But I can’t always depend on the pill but I just want to know why the heck are my cramps and soreness of my breast always before and after my periods and not during it!.
