Silent Reflux?

Has anyone had a baby with silent reflux? My baby has struggled with eating for at least 3 weeks now. He’s 8.5 weeks old but only 2 weeks adjusted because he was early.

He gets really gurgly in his throat and nose and after about an ounce he starts struggling to eat. He goes back and forth from scrunching up to arching his back. He has such a hard time anymore that he’s not eating as much as he used to because he wears out...he tries to eat for an hour sometimes and will only take 3 oz. It worries me because we still need him to catch-up from being early. I thought gas at first but it definitely seems like more than that now. He’s extremely uncomfortable laying on his back after feedings too so I stay up pretty much all night so he can sit upright on my chest.

I didn’t think it could be reflux because doesn’t spit up at all...I think he’s only spit up maybe 3 times since he was born. But my cousin is a nurse and said there’s silent reflux...they basically have all the symptoms of reflux but don’t actively spit up, it just comes up into their throat and nasal passages. He has an appointment at the pediatrician today so I will be asking but thought I would see if anyone has any experiences.
