Anyone had a sweep and it actually worked?

So I on friday when I seen the midwife she gave me a sweep and I was 1cm dilated and today (Monday) when at the hospital she midwife gave me another sweep and said I was 3cm dilated and she could feel baby’s head, i recently went to the toilet and when I wiped I’m sure it was part of my mucus plug. ive been having irregular contractions all weekend and still continuing to have them. I was wondering if anyone else has had a sweep and it actually worked? Really hoping to go into labour tonight or tomorrow morning !! Cmon baby 👶🏼 🍼
