Did my period return?

I had a vaginal delivery with a second degree tear, nothing crazy. I bled for about 4 weeks and then had some spotting until week 5. Then nothing. Right after 6 weeks pp it started up again and has gotten heavier now that I’m 7 weeks. Is this my period? I’m EBF so I didn’t think it would come so soon.

My pp bleeding stopped for about a week and started again lightly for a few days around 6 weeks. Real period never started until I COMPLETELY stopped breastfeeding 13 months later.

If it seems like too long I would check with your doctor. I had light postpartum bleeding until 5-6 weeks when I thought it was pretty much done then it got heavier in the 7th week and I thought maybe it was a period but it kept going, so at 8 weeks I got an ultrasound. I had a piece of retained placenta and had to get a D&C to remove it last week.

My period came back regular at 6 weeks pp with both my kiddos.

With my first i got my period at around 7 weeks pp i was on depo and EBF. With my second i didnt get it until around 10weeks pp after i got the Nexplanon.

It’s possible but I don’t know if there is a way to know for sure. But if you don’t want another baby right now definitely use some sort of protection or BC 🤣 I was exclusively breastfeeding and I didn’t get my period back until maybe almost 5 months PP. But everyone is different

I had this happen when i had my son. I stopped bleeding around 4 weeks, then it came back the week of my 6 week check up. It wasnt super heavy, but went away a bit after and then came back again! My doctor did a check up and said it was likely just due to the hormonal fluctuations while breastfeeding. It finally stopped coming and going probably around 10 weeks pp. I had my first real period pp at 7 months pp. I would talk to your doctor and see what they say. Good luck!
