Do you struggle with social anxiety?
If so, how does it manifest itself, and how do you cope?
I just started my freshman year of college. My anxiety has been making it more challenging. I’m always tense and shaky when I go out and my mind goes blank when people talk to me. I literally feel dread when people look at me or if I pass a group of people. Once I’m back home, I’ll replay the interactions in my head, beating myself up about “mistakes” I made while socializing. I’m in this cycle where my social anxiety makes me lonely, and the loneliness increases my social anxiety. I really do want to get involved in my school, but it’s been disappointing and frustrating because of my anxiety. I know there are worse problems to have, but it’s one of my personal struggles and I want that to change (or at least improve).
