Natural 2nd birth stories?

Hi guys, approaching my 2nd birth and looking for some inspo from 2nd time mummies that has a natural birthing experience. 
My first birth was very long and ended in lots of drugs, I don’t have a lot of positives to say about it. So I love hearing people’s birth stories with their second babies.

My first was a long and awful hospital one, but I somehow made it naturally in the end (asked for epidural at the end and by the time they came I was pushing!)
Second I decided I wanted something less stressful so we went the birth center route and loved it! Shorter labor, better pain coaching and natural coping techniques, our water birth was great. 
First birth experiences can be more difficult most of the time because your body is doing it for the first time, but I think after that you have an advantage. Every baby is different though! I'm sure you'll rock it this time. Try taking more birth classes too, I felt more empowered by refreshing myself with everything even though I've had two births now and am expecting our third. :)

My first birth was also long, over 17 hours and it was almost traumatic. Drugs, begging for epidural, etc. 
My second birth was amazing!! I watched basically every hypnobirthing video on YouTube. My favorite was The Positive Birth Company’s videos, start with “Why birth doesn’t have to be painful” and watch every video from there, there are quite a few and it was SO helpful! 
The pain level was so different when I changed my mentality about it from the hypnobirthing. It was a lot of pressure, not a lot of pain. I was silent, the nurses didn’t really believe I was in labor, they hooked me to the monitors and saw that I was just entering transition and they were shocked. I had a water birth. I was at home on my yoga ball because it felt great for the pressure, and once the contractions were 5 mins apart I went to the hospital (1 hour drive to the hippie hospital 😂) and I arrived and had my baby out within an hour. Total labor was just over 4 hours. As I was pushing I was actually laughing because I felt so good from the natural hormones released right when the baby’s head crowns. And feeling his hair and soft little ears as he came out 😍 it was magical!

Same as you my first birth was long and all the meds. Thankfully I still had her vaginally. 
I knew I wanted different for my second so I decided to prepare ahead of time. I did Hypnobabies home study courses and did spinning babies to make sure baby was in and stayed in optimal position for birthing. I also prepped my uterus with red raspberry leaf tea and dates. Loved my second birth! Very hands off Birth center water birth with my husband, midwife and best friend doula. Had baby in less than half the time and probably could have had him sooner but I decided to take a little nap right before pushing 😂

I’m tired so I’m not gonna type a lot. Stay at home as long as you can. That way there’s less time for them to poke you and run tests....-and more tests and you usually have to stay in bed....

I ended up having an amazing 2nd birth at a birthing centre in the water 
I don’t have any negatives to say about it (unlike my first birth I ONLY have negatives) 
I stayed home and was 6cm by the time I got there, I had my surprise baby boy 2hrs later.
My midwife completely left me alone, I think she knew things were going as they should and I loved this. It was basically just my husband and I until right as my baby was born and even then my husband caught him. I delivered my placenta without the needle as well. 
Amazing! Anyone reading this you can do it! I wouldn’t call this birth painful only powerful for maybe the last 1.5hrs

My first I was young and uninformed, I was induced and had a horrible, absolutely horrible hospital experience. I found out I was allergic to penicillin and they took over an hour to get me IV Benadryl. They broke my water which slowed down delivery. Just so many things that could have gone different. 
My second I chose a midwife at a birthing center, she was AMAZING. I was always informed of alternatives to things. I went into labor after a membrane sweep at 39 weeks and a couple of days, I walked a ton after that appointment. Active labor only lasted about 3 hours. She helped keep me calm and I did a waterbirth which helped so much, my water didn't break until I was pushing and I didn't tear at all. I went home about 6/8 hours later. I'm using her again with this pregnancy 💙💙💙
