Ttc over 1 year later

Me and my boyfriend have been together 3 years and we have 1 son and last year I suffered an ectopic pregnancy and had to have my tube removed. It’s been over a year since the surgery and I have yet to conceive. I’m starting to get despondent. Are there any ways to increase fertility or is it normal for this to take long?
