Who is planning to wait longer?

I’ve told friends and family I’m very close to... but I’m thinking about waiting until I much further along to tell the rest. If I can get away with it maybe 15-16 weeks.

We’re planning on telling our family Thanksgiving weekend (our 10 week appt just happens to be 2 days before Thanksgiving).  We probably won’t make any addition official announcements until Christmas time.

I waited until after the gender scan to tell our family, as that’s the one that will pick up if there are any concerns, double check development, etc.  with my first pregnancy, and I’ll be doing this again with this one.  I have known too many people to announce pregnancy too early, something happened, and then witnessed the extra pain and awkwardness because someone inadvertently says something hurtful and insensitive, or offers advice that just isn’t helpful.  I didn’t announce my pregnancy on social media, and the first most heard of my baby was after the birth. ;-)

We are waiting to tell family around 16 weeks. We aren’t making any other announcements though so people will find out when they find out.

We haven’t told anyone. Waiting u til Christmas when both of our families will be here so we can surprise them. I’m just hoping I don’t show too much by then. This is my second baby.

I’m going to wait as long as I can. Thankfully it’s cold and I will be able to wear layers. I have had two miscarriages this year and for me telling people that I lost the baby sucked. So my two best friends know and my husband. It has been hard to not tell my mom. I will most likely tell her once I see a heartbeat. Everyone else though I’m going to wait. With my daughter I didn’t tel anyone until I was 17 weeks. It seemed to go by a lot faster too.
