My Mom has been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Her sister is a breast cancer survivor. Anyone done the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gen testing in the US? Know how it works and costs privately? Thank you

Hey love , look up doctor Leonard Caldwell. Tell your mom to drink a lot of water with a lot of alkaline. Only use pure sea salt and eat veggies . If you watch some of his videos you’ll see why💕 praying for her and your family !

I did the BRCA genetic testing about 7 years ago in Mass. My mom was in treatment for breast cancer and had the gene, which is why I was tested. I first met with a genetic counselor to go through my full medical history and families medical history. They drew a family tree and had me and my mom give the cause and age of all deaths. Writing that it sounds morbid, but was a great way to lay out my genetics and see where the BRCA mutation might have originated. The counselors gave me lots of information to take home to decide if I wanted to do the blood test or not. I decided to do it, and met with the counselors to receive the results, which was negative. Because of my moms diagnosis I paid very little out of pocket. 
My brother on the other hand, went through something like 23andme and got his results without going through his own doctor. He was positive for the gene and will now take extra monitoring for prostrate and breast cancer.

Yes.i did. My sister died of cancer 2 months ago. I did mine and all was well. Don't be worried. Get it done and be at ease.
