Breastfeeding and stepchildren
Honestly I’m not sure how controversial this is, but it could be so I’m going to post it. I have a 6 month old daughter who is breastfed and I also have teenage stepchildren (18 and 17). My step daughter has moved out, but my step son lives with us full time. Since my daughter was born, if the kids were home I went into my room to nurse her. Today my stepson got home from school earlier than usual and I was nursing in the living room. My husband was outside when he got home so he told him to wait a minute and came in to tell me so I could cover up. My stepson got an attitude about me nursing in the living room and made an obnoxious comment. Which massively pissed me off. I don’t think I’m obligated to leave the room to nurse, but I do and always have. So I’m curious what other people think. Do you think I’m obligated to hide in my room to breastfeed when my step kids are home? Would you?
