At what point should bleeding be concerning?

TMI ahead: so I got diagnosed with a blighted ovum a few weeks ago. Took misoprostal bled about a day then a few days after started bleeding again. It’s been about a week of bleeding and the past few days have been super clotting. It will go in waves where it practically gushes out and then be good for hours and then do that again. The doc said only be concerned if there’s a lot of big clots and I don’t know what that means. Any insights of “measurement” would be great.
