Fibroids in Pregnancy?

At my 17 weeks appointment, my doctor said my uterus was measuring at 20 weeks. She had an ultrasound preformed, and the tech said she didn’t see anything unusual and the baby was measuring 17 weeks.

I just went to the doctor yesterday, and now I’m 20 week, and my uterus is measuring 28 weeks. My doctor said she thinks it’s fibroids, and I have to see a specialist at my local hospital next week. My doctor seemed very concerned.

Has anyone experienced having fibroids during pregnancy? Did you have a preterm labor? C-section?

My partner and I are very worried, since whatever it is is growing very rapidly.
