When to pack?

When should I have my bags packed? I know a twin pregnancy can be a little more unpredictable, so when should I have my hospital bags ready? I don’t want to be dramatic and have them ready too early, but also don’t wanna be screwed in the end!

Personally you can never be packed too early for twins. I had my bag ready to go and in the car every appointment from 30 weeks on and I had di/di twins. I had to drive 90 miles for every MFM appointment and wanted to be ready if they wanted to keep me for any reason. Also as the time went by I thought of things I wanted to add to the bag that I didn’t think of at first so by the time I went into labor on my own at 35+6 we only had to grab our phones and chargers and out the door. Which was extremely important since I knew I’d need time to get checked at the local hospital and flown to the hospital that I’d deliver them at.

Get your bags ready by 30 weeks. I had a smooth di/di pregnancy no complications and just delivered my girls at 34 weeks when baby a's water broke. You can never ever be too prepared with twins!

I was told yesterday at my appointment that I need to start bringing my bag to every appointment, just in case. I'm 34 weeks.

I had my bags packed at 30 weeks and had them in the car with me since then. They came with us everywhere, just in case the twins decided to come early. They almost came at 34 weeks! But they stayed in until 37 weeks :)

I waited till 32 weeks. 
At 34 weeks I started having blood pressure issues (I monitor regularly at home) so when I went in for my 34w MFM appointment I made sure to have it in the car. I was sent to l&d for a preeclampsia work up. Kept over night for more tests then released. 
At 35 week check up I again had more severe symptoms so I knew something was going to happen. Sure enough I was sent to l&d and kept to be induced on 35 weeks 0days with severe preeclampsia. I was started on magnesium and the induction started. Had my babies about 12 hrs later in a rush of a natural delivery. 
They have now been in the NICU for a week. 
Never can be too early with twins. Trust your gut.

If I was prego with twins I’d do it between 30-33 weeks. 33 weeks being the latest! You never know with multiples! Better safe than sorry for sure.
