Chlamydia have impact on your fertility?

I had chlamydia a while back. I’ve been treated for it. I’m not sure exactly when I got it, but the amount of time I had it was somewhere around 2 weeks to 2 months. I had symptoms a week or two after one sexual encounter, which made me think that could have been it, but there was another encounter I could have caught it about 2 months before that. I got treated about a week after first having symptoms.

I have read online that if left untreated, chlamydia can cause infertility. I know this usually applies to people who go years without having symptoms and are unaware they have it, but I’m still worried since I had it for several weeks.

I’m wondering if any of you have had chlamydia and if it has impacted your fertility at all.

Side note: I am extremely cautious when it comes to STDs now. They’re nothing to take lightly.
