To go or not to go to the party? The cohost is sick

I have a friend who is cohosting a Halloween party for other mom friends and their kids. 
Well this friend of mine is sick and I believe still planning on cohosting the party. I have only met the other cohost once. 
Normally I try to stay away from sick people, especially because I have a two year old that would be there with me. 
But I feel bad about not going just because my sick friend will be there. Plus, what on earth would I say to her about why we’re not going when I already RSVP’d? Or should I just go?

What kind of sick??? That would be the deciding factor for me. If it’s a virus then as long as she has symptoms, it can be contagious. But if it’s a bacterial infection and she’s been on antibiotics for at least 24 hours, she’s no longer contagious. The other option is to go and just ask her to please not touch you or your kiddo. And also make sure you both wash your hands before eating and don’t touch your face.

I would normally say omg u are overreacting dont do that... u can get sick by just walking out the house or going to the store. Kids bring him the majority of the sicknesses from school or daycare anyways. BUT your baby is only 2, anddddd I myself have gotten this awful cold TWICE this month. First time I ever got sick twice in 1 month. I'm sick now... first time was a bad chest cold and barking cough. I originally got sick from my SO's 6 year old. Then my SO got sick, and now I got sick again, but this time it's the stuffy runny nose and fever and I feel the cough developing again. So hunnniiiiiii I'd say stay away from others who are sick if it's the cold or flu. this shit is notttt messing around and I wouldnt wish it on anyone. Otherwise, a neat way u can go and not look offensive is: both of you wear a costume that has a mask that will cover your mouth and nose and hands lol. And no hugging the sick cohost. I mean if anything she should be the one wearing a mouth coverup so she doesnt infect a whole party.

I’m very confused as to who the cohost is and who the friend is. But if you don’t want to go, just tell them you’re sorry for not being able to make it but you can’t afford to get sick at the moment.
