Experiencing stroke-like symptoms? I have been to two different hospitals and they say I am NOT having a stroke or seizures. I experience paralysis on the left side of my body, muscle weakness/soreness, confusion, dizziness, nausea, blurry/zigzag vision, throbbing migraines and slurred speech.

A neurologist at a hospital suggested it could be hemiplegic migraines but referred me to a headache specialist to get further tested and suggested I keep a migraine/episode journal.

On that note: I haven’t been able to see the headache doctor yet and was hoping someone else on here experiences or knows someone who experiences it. I feel so alone and am so afraid to do anything in public because I don’t want to have an episode and someone call the ambulance thinking something major is wrong (and I’m unable to tell them because of the impaired speech). The episodes have lasted from 10 minutes to 2 hours and I know when it’s about to happen because I get the abnormal vision, dizziness and confusion—so this gives me time to stop whatever I’m doing and sit down until it passes.
