Is it possible to get a blood test too early?

I’m 5 days late. Got my blood test yesterday and it showed negative (1.2mIU/ml)

With my first I was 13 days late before I got a positive home test. And they said that I ovulated late.

Nurse that gave me results said IUD could have made me irregular, but I’ve never been irregular! She also said I could try a hone test next week. And if I still haven’t had a period by December, to call back.

I’m just so confused! Someone help!
