How many newborn diapers should I buy?

Don’t overdo it on the diapers, ur baby may not tolerate a specific brand(many have reactions and get diaper rash from certain brands). I would start with one box of them until u actually see how big ur baby is once born.

I would buy a small pack until you see how big your baby is. My son was in newborn diapers for 6 weeks. Some babies aren’t in them at all and go straight to 1s.

I think we bought one box. Which we will be giving away lol my little one left the hospital in 1’s. He was 8lbs 15oz.

Not much. At most I’d say maybe one of the big boxes. The hospital should give you a ton when you give birth (seriously ask the n it’s and they’ll give you as much as they can). NB was the size we used the least of with both of our boys. You be changing at least 6, more like 12 diapers a day for the first few weeks (actually less the first few days) but unless your baby is small or doesn’t lose his umbilical stump by 2 weeks he’ll probably be in size 1 by the time he’s 2-3 weeks and almost definitely by a month old. Sooo you’ll probably go through anywhere from 150-300 NB diapers.

It depends. My boys grew out of newborn diapers really fast like 1 or 2 weeks. While my daughter was in them for a while due to not gaining weight fast.

I used probably 100-150 but my boy was a preemie and wasn’t gaining weight very quickly at first so he was in newborn til past a month

I bought 30-ish count packs of several different brands of diapers to see which work best for us. I will open them one at a time. If they move up  to size 1 before i open them I will exchange them for the next size.

Better to start with a small amount babies grow fast and assuming you are pregnant it’s hard to know how much they will weigh at birth

Don’t buy too many because your baby might grow out of them really quickly, or skip newborn size altogether. It’s better to start small and then when baby arrives you can figure out the size needed.
