PLEASEEE HELP!!!

Yesterday morning I took the first response test and it came out with a faint line but as it dried up, it became darker. Later on at midday I took another test and it was negative. can anybody help as to what could have possibly been wrong?? Or might I not be pregnant and got a false positive??

I am a day late! Pleaseeeee help!!
