Floor beds?

What are your thoughts on floor beds? I see some have a small frame and others look like a small mattress on the floor with decorations around. Does it make me a bad mom if I’m considering one because lack of space ? I’ve never met someone that has one

Nothing wrong with it! But also if you get a raised bed you could use the floorspace underneath for storage where a floor bed you can't

We made this frame for our girls and the bed is on the floor. I feel so much safer about them getting in and out, or rolling off. Plus, it’s cute! Do what YOU think is best! ❤️

We just do a twin mattress on the floor for our 3year old and 1.5 year old. Started at 13 months with our 1st. Works perfect!

I’ve slept on a floor bed most of my life, although my current bed has a frame off the ground. My daughter has a floor bed because there’s sort of a vaulted ceiling above the space for her bed, so not much space for a headboard or frame or anything. Whatever works for you is fine!￼

I think floor beds are great. You're not a bad Mom for getting a floor bed. My parents have a proper expensive bed (mattress and frame) but they sleep on a floor bed because of back pain. Their back has been better ever since they switched. They laid out a 2-3 inch foam mattress, put a comforter on it for extra later, and sleep over that. They use another comforter over them to keep them warm. I sleep on a regular bed without a pillow because I have found that it keeps my neck pain away. But sometimes I sleep on my parents floor bed when my Mom invites me to sleep with her if she's alone and I find it very comfortable. I could sleep there for many hours haha.

Had my daughters twin mattress on the floor for 2 years. I had found her on the floor still asleep a few times and was glad she wasn't in a blog bed. When she turned 4 I got a very small frame that has no headboard or footboard but has 2 large drawers for storage under the bed. So took up no extra space but she was able to put toys in it! I love it. But I'm glad I waited til she was old enough to not roll off the bed on accident.

My first is on a floor bed. Just a mattress on the floor. So easy. He’s a gymnast in his sleep and if he falls off it’s not a big deal at all. Hell my 5 month old fell off it once and didn’t even notice lol
