Nintendo switch question?

Hi! My daughter wants a Nintendo switch for Christmas, but she loves playing the older pokemon games on her Nintendo 3ds, she downloads the older games from the store and can play them. Is this the same for the Nintendo switch? Will she still be able to download the older games on there or are they not compatible? Thanks x

3ds games are usually not Switch compatible. There are pokemon games for the Switch I believe,  but as far as I know she can't play the old Pokemon games on the Switch. She can still play them on her DS though!

There is an eshop you can purchase games from just like the nintendo 3ds. I don't think those specific games are compatible though since they were only available for the ds. However, there is a new pokemon game coming out this November :) they also release let's go pikachu a while back so she can play that one also :)

Unfortunately, 3DS games are not compatible with either version of the Nintendo Switch.
