Best diaper pail for cloth diapers?

So I have a question for you mommas who cloth diaper.  We are giving this a go and are very excited to do so, but I would love some advice on a diaper pail for the bedroom.  I hear that putting them in water is best, so what pail works and keeps the smell down?  We plan on washing daily normally, but don’t want the bedroom smelling like poo.

This will be my third kid cloth diapering. You don’t need to soak in water especially if you are washing daily or every other day, soaking will increase wear on your diapers. Washing that often already keeps the smell down, and smell isn’t usually an issue until solids are introduced (and at that point check out flushable diaper liners, they look like dryer sheets that catch solids and you can lift and toss in the toilet!). Breastmilk poop dissolves easily in the washing machine. Ive always used a regular inexpensive tall kitchen trashcan with a locking step lid, lined with a waterproof reusable pail liner. I would buy two pail liners so one is washed at the same time as the diapers. I was on an every other day washing schedule. Be careful with ‘stripping’ which also wears out diapers. Trash can with no lid, or a hamper, with pail liner. Or a large hanging wetbag. We've used both. 
Soaking diapers can cause premature wear and can be a hazard to baby (standing water). 
If you're worried about smell, keep it open to air in a well ventilated room and wash often. 
Smell isn't too bad until you're heavy into solids and liquid intake goes down (more ammonia smell).

I agree with all of Ashley’s points. Here’s exactly what we used (with our Mama Koala pocket diapers)
Ubbi pail 
Alva cloth wet bags 
Grovia liners 
Worked great - we got the two pack of bags so we could always just throw one bag in the wash with the diapers. 
It does get stinky in the bag, but the Ubbi pail does a nice job keeping the stink in until you open it to do the wash. Good capacity too, we did every other day washes. We did only cloth diaper for about a month before we potty trained though (17-18 months old) so there may be more diapers for a younger baby, but I still think it would fit everything you’d need it to fit. We actually bought our diapers before my daughter was born but didn’t end up using them for a long time due to a combo of 1) the one-size diapers not fitting her skinny body for quite a while and 2) we moved out of the place where we had free laundry to somewhere with coin op laundry.
