Medieval times Dinner Tournament- is it worth it?

Question

My fiancé told me he wants to go out on a date this week and wants me to pick where to go. We are kinda stuck in a lazy date rut of just going to the same local restaurants over and over. I was looking at the medieval Times Dinner Tournament With tickets and gas to get there is will be just about $200. Have you ever been and is it worth it?

The show itself is fun and food is ok, nothing amazing but it's not bad. However I had a lot of fun mostly because of the people I went with. If you guys participate and make it fun, it will be fun. I first went with a friend to cheer her up and she was really into it and we had another friend who went with different people and our knight beat his knight and ended up winning the tournament. I had bought the tickets years ago so we only spent money on our drinks and tips. I went again with my bf for his bday because he always wanted to go. We bought super cool souvenir cups and he drank a good amount. We bought a flag to cheer on our knight. We spent a lot of money but it was worth it to us because we had a really good time. I also bought the tickets online and they had a sale going. I would also compare ticket prices with groupon. Doing that can help lower the total cost if you havent. If you guys just go to sit back and watch passively, I wouldnt go. But if you guys are the type to get into it and cheer for your knight and that kind of stuff, you guys will have a lot of fun. It's what you make of it that makes a difference. Its cheesy and childish since it's very geared towards kids but people of all ages go. Where I live we dont have a lot of horse shows or anything so it's really cool for me to go see horses and people irl doing knight stuff.

I really like going there but it is pricey and you haven’t even included the drinks! Lol. If I lived closer I would totally go though.

I guess it depends. For me absolutely not. It’s loud and I’m a vegetarian. Being autistic it’s my nightmare because it’s dark and loud. But my nephew loved it. So it definitely depends.

Yes yes yes!! Cute side story my husband and I went to the same middle school and in 6th grade we took a class trip there. We didn't know each other then but we have a picture and I'm standing in front of him.  We didn't start talking until 7th grade. That place will always be special for me.
