How to split holidays

How do you and your SO pick which family to spend the holidays with?

I’ve never done this so it’s very new especially being pregnant. I like thanksgiving with my family because they make really good food. My aunt makes really good candied yams

Then Christmas since all the kids are older, we do white elephant as a way to do gifts plus personal gifts.

Last year I spent thanksgiving with his family in California. It was fun, and I got to meet his extended family. Now that we aren’t in a semi truck anymore, and back home. We have to decide which family gets what holiday for this year.

I pray it’s not this much trouble when the baby gets here.
