Help?!

Hey guys FTM here and I did my first birthing class last night 🙊 I had already made my mind up that I want an epidural staright away like I don’t even wanna try do natural birth because well I’m fucking scared but after last night I’m even more sold on the idea but I realised pretty much every other women is going in with a way tougher mindset and most women are ready to just do it with no assistance from drugs which made me feel kind of like a dick I suppose like am I a pussy because I don’t even wanna try push my baby out naturally before I use drugs to help me ?! Should I be prepping myself in case they refuse me an epidural ?! Please anyone give me some good opinions ?! All my friends did birth naturally so I can’t talk to any of them about it because they don’t understand 🤯🤯

I dont plan on toughing anything out- i want meds. But i know they can only give it to me after a certain point....and that i can be waiting for the anesthesiologist to arrive before getting it since there are other patients. So i am prepared to feel pain but no, i dont want to try a fully natural birth. Not if i can help it. 
And i dont really care what other ppl think. My mom was like “but why do u need medication? Its only as painful as a bellyache” im like “ok ma, thats great it only hurt u that much. But that might not be my experience and i want an epidural.” Case closed.

No one comes in after you deliver naturally to give you a trophy so don't let others make you feel bad for wanting medication. I have a low pain tolerance and I laboured after my water broke with my first for 12 hours and I was not a fan.. I'm having another induction and will be having another epidural. I wouldn't recommend the gas and air because you don't know if it'll make you sick until you breathe it in(I regret that decision entirely)nothing wrong with wanting to be pain free!

I'm be giving birth for the 2nd time in a few weeks and the 1st time round I did upto 8cm with back labour and then got an epidural so I did endure alot of pain prior to having it. I was in active labour for over 19 hours. Once I got the epidural I was relaxed and slept. I ended up having an episiostomy which I also did not feel thanks to the epidural so I'm thankful for that too. This time round part of me wants to see if I can do the whole thing natural if I have a quicker birth as the 2nd time round it's ment to be. Then the other part of me thinks what's the point in going through all that pain when I can have the epidural and have a better chance of it being a nice experience instead of feeling like I'm dying 😂 in all honestly what ever you chose is your choice. You could go in with the mindset of no meds at all and still end up changing your mind anyway. When your in the thick of it my advise is do what ever you feel is best for you.
