How to stop foundation from separating on face?

A lot of times my foundation separates or looks powdery on my face after like a hour. I use a moisturizer and primer before, maybe I need to let them soak in for a long time before applying foundation? Anyone have good tips or products?

Try a different primer. Sometimes a primer doesnt mix well with a foundation and it makes weird things happen. Or maybe try a new foundation with your primer.

i has this problem as well, stop powdering your whole face. find a foundation you love (maybelline fit me matte and poreless is my ride or die)  and only powder areas that absolutely need it. so i lightly powder under my eyes and around my nose. i also switched to cream bronzer, blush and highlight. my skin looks SO much better and it fades beautifully. worth a try!

If it’s separating it could be from oily skin, also try a different foundation. You can sample ones at Sephora. It took me a long time to get the perfect combination now I won’t stop using tatcha, Estée Lauder double wear.
