When to tell the world?

We are 10w 5 days and we want to tell everyone we are pregnant. Our close friends and family all know. Should we wait til 13w to announce? Or is 12w pretty safe?

My husband and I suffered a miscarriage in July and got pregnant again in August. This time we didn't want to tell anyone until 12 weeks. However, after talking with my mom about our fears with announcing, she told me to enjoy and celebrate the baby now! She stated "as of right now, there is life inside of you and that is reason enough to celebrate! Whatever is going to happen, will happen! But enjoy being pregnant right now!" We told everyone 2 days later at 9 weeks and now am 12 +2.  You have to do what makes you comfortable! But you ARE pregnant and do have life growing inside of you at this time!! Enjoy that! With who you choose! 😊

We have decided to wait until 12-13 weeks. My 8 week appointment went great & everything looked wonderful but I am enjoying this time where just my husband and I know. It's special. 💕 here is baby

It depends on the type of person/couple you are. I know there are a lot of women out there that would love/need the support if something were to go wrong but me personally... I wouldn't want the constant reminder and sympathy. It would be the only thing people would think about/say everytime they saw me and if we weren't to conceive again quickly after I would have anxiety thinking people are 'wondering' if anything was wrong with us. In this day and age everyone has a comment or judgement and I prefer to keep those at bay as long as possible. My husband and I don't even have Facebook and are very happy to keep it that way (we're in our late 20's). Do what you feel comfortable with is the message here. Everyone's different - as long as you can enjoy your pregnancy 😍

I told everyone already at almost 9 weeks. We are pregnant with number three and I learned after baby number one that my family cannot keep a secret. We told close family first and tried to announce around 12 weeks but our close family started telling other people and asked them to keep it a secret. In the end, they stole our thunder and nobody was surprised. So this time we spilled the beans early and only gave our close family 30 seconds to hang on to the secret before the rest of the world knew.

We told immediate family at 8 weeks but are waiting until our next appointment to make it "Facebook official" to let the whole world know. Its two weeks away and I will be 14 weeks then! Ugh. It can't come fast enough!

Do it when it feels right!  I stuck with the people whose support is want if things go bad.  Parents first very early on then siblings later.

We waited until 20 week gender apt with first and will likely do again with second.  I always think it's so fun to run into people and tell them in person. Especially, with the holidays upon us.

I'm waiting til I see a heartbeat. In UK we don't get the scan til 12 weeks. That's next week for me so I'm nearly there, yay!
